A strong protest and official request for rectification regarding the TG1 report of November 10, 2025, at 20:00 PM – Distortion and defamation of hunting activities. This is the subject of the note issued by the association Hunting Fishing Environment (CPA) he asked for clarification on what happened two days ago.The report in question concerned so-called war tourism, the activity of wealthy individuals who, for a fee, carried out sniping and assassination in conflict zones (specifically, Sarajevo between 1992 and 1996). The content of the report, and especially the language and implicit associations used in the narrative and commentary, produced a seriously defamatory media effect against all Italian hunters..

An unacceptable juxtaposition

"The activity depicted in the video is a mercenary, murderous, and criminal act that has nothing to do with hunting. The association between a disgusting and abject activity like shooting humans for money in war zones and the noble and regulated practice of hunting constitutes an intolerable offense and a blatant manipulation of information.".

"In light of the above, CPA requires:

From the director of TG1: the immediate broadcast of a public and unequivocal correction in the same information space and with the same emphasis as the contested report with which any association between mercenary practices and legal and regulated hunting is denied.
The Order of Journalists has opened an ethics investigation to determine whether the director of TG1 and all those found responsible for the broadcast violated their duties of loyalty, good faith, and accuracy in reporting.
From the Communications Guarantor: the initiation of a procedure to verify compliance with the public service and the principles of completeness, objectivity, and information pluralism, sanctioning the use of defamatory and unverified associations.
