An important first
Working day in the Council Room of the Palazzo delle Federazioni Sportive in Rome. The Fitav Technical Commission of the Skeet who is responsible for planning the 2025 season, drawing up a calendar of events that will engage the members of the Italian Team both at national and international level. For the first time at the table in the role of National Technical Director Luigi Lodde. With him also Andrea Benelli, Technical Director of the National Skeet Fitav team from 2013 to 2024.
More and more and better and better
The Federal President Luciano Rossi opened the proceedings: “I want to give a warm welcome to Luigi Lodde, who today finds himself in the position of having to collect an important legacy, a legacy that has made Italy a protagonist in the world on numerous occasions, the latest being the gold medal won by Diana Bacosi and Gabriele Rossetti at the Paris Games last year. The need of our girls and boys is to be put in a position to do more and better, showing and demonstrating at an international level what they are capable of. My advice for Luigi (Lodde, ed.) is to represent not only a guide for his shooters, but to let himself be guided by each of them, by their passion and their enthusiasm for our beloved sport. I entrust the future of the Skeet sector of our Federation and the Future of Italian Clay Pigeon Shooting to this Commission and its judgment”.
The words of Andrea Benelli
“The choice to step back and leave the technical leadership of the National team was very difficult for me – explained Andrea Benelli – Shooting has always been my life and I have lived it fully both as a shooter and as a technician. However, there comes a time in life in which, even with great suffering, in which to say enough and leave. It is not a goodbye because the passion that animated my activity in all these years has not vanished. Believe that I have given my best and that I have guaranteed my Italy many important results that are engraved in an indelible way in my heart. They will be kept there among the most precious things. I wish Luigi (Lodde, ed.) a great career as a Technician. He has always shown great professionalism, absolute seriousness and great passion. Good work!” (source: FITAV).
