Excellent meat and top quality wines. In Roero, an area of Piedmont that occupies the province of Cuneo, wines of the highest level are produced which have deserved the designations of origin. For the occasion, therefore, the Bonicelli estate di Ceresole d'Alba has decided to combine them with carefully chosen game meat, enhanced and made even tastier on the palate. The collaboration with the "Mario Costa" Farm resulted in the organization of an evening with tasting, scheduled for Saturday 18 July 2020 at 20 pm right at the Piedmontese estate. The title of the dinner is emblematic: "Game meat meets Roero wines".
The menu is intriguing to say the least. We will start with a pheasant and black truffle pate that have been paired with a 2017 Langhe Bianco Vijè Vignier DOC. buckskin tip, parmesan and porcini mushrooms, a dish that will be enhanced by the Langhe Rosso “Selint” DOC Magnum, also from 2017. The deer agnoletti and its Bruno fund with Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC 2016 will not be outdone.
There will also be a wood skewer with crispy herb chips and the 2016 Roero “Batistin” DOCG. it will end with stuffed peaches and almonds, paired with a passito “Goj” made from overripe grapes. The price is 45 euros per person, with reservations required at 3286688637.
