The supported project
When passion for the local area transforms into a concrete gesture of love and solidarity, the results are bound to be extraordinary. This is the case with the wonderful culinary and charitable initiative called "Noi per il Gaslini," held last Saturday, July 11, at the Bettigna Green Area in Molino del Piano. The event, which attracted an extraordinary turnout, raised a significant sum of over €5.500 to benefit the Giannina Gaslini Institute Pediatric Hospital in Genoa , specifically in support of the "La Band degli Orsi" project.
The fundamental support of the hunting world
The event was born from the joint efforts of local hunters, united under the aegis of important hunting organizations and associations. The support of the Provincial Hunting Federation of La Spezia and the National and Regional Coordination of Wood Pigeon Italy (Liguria Section) was crucial. Together with the tireless local organization of the "Bettigna in Festa" Association, the promoters managed to put together an evening that perfectly combined conviviality with civic engagement and charity. The evening, which began at 19:00 PM, saw participants enjoy a rich traditional menu, carefully curated down to the smallest detail and featuring the finest game and local produce. Among the main courses, guests enjoyed mushroom and game risotto, followed by traditional specialties such as baked wood pigeons and baked pork shoulder with potatoes. The event was rounded off with a charity raffle, with all proceeds going towards the generous final donation.
Prestigious presences
The organizers expressed their heartfelt thanks to the local businesses and partners who supported the initiative. The invaluable collaboration of Azienda Agricola Giacomelli, Panificio Pucciarelli, and Conad (La Miniera Shopping Center) was particularly noteworthy. These local businesses, with their products and spirit of sharing, immediately embraced this noble cause. They also expressed their heartfelt thanks to Bornaghi Italy, a prestigious brand in the sector, which demonstrated its commitment and active support for this extraordinary solidarity initiative. The event was attended by prominent figures from the institutional and hunting worlds, including the Honorable Francesco Bruzzone, a longtime supporter of local communities, and the National President of the Italian Wood Pigeon Coordination Committee, Gherardo Ambrosini.
Great sensitivity
Their presence underscored the importance of an event that goes far beyond a simple social dinner, serving as a virtuous example of how the hunting world is an active, responsible, and generous part of the regional social fabric. Thanks to the sensitivity of all the participants, observers, and volunteers involved, the solidarity mechanism worked flawlessly. The €5.500 donation represents a tangible contribution to the reception and medical support that Gaslini Hospital and "La Band degli Orsi" provide daily to hospitalized children and their families, confirming that, when we team up for a noble cause, "together we are stronger and together we make a difference" (source: FIDC).
