Spring Festival
Faithful to an over ten-year tradition, this year too the Hunters Section of Orio al Serio, linked to Federcaccia, organized the "Spring Festival", a meeting with the children of the town's schools to discuss issues connected to the rural and hunting world. The scheme on which the event was developed remained the one adopted in previous years, by virtue of the fact that the response in terms of satisfaction gradually increased, both on the part of the direct users, the young people, and on the part of their families, happily engaging those in charge to answer increasingly specific and in-depth questions.
The approach of the exhibition
Upon their arrival, the children immediately found themselves faced with a display of stuffed birds, each accompanied by a card that outlined their natural characteristics in broad terms. The approach to this exhibition, as the Orio al Serio hunters explained, seemed similar to the attitude towards a natural science lesson, the latter having always been the primary objective of the organisers. Then we moved on to the exhibition of the dogs' work, specifically showing and explaining the various game hunting methods specific to each dog breed.
A succulent grill
Last but not least, the boys were the protagonists of launching several heads of game into nature for repopulation purposes, naturally not before having dealt, albeit in broad terms, with the problem of management and control of wild fauna. Lastly, children and families were invited to enjoy a succulent barbecue prepared by the expert hands of the organisers. The Federcaccia Orio al Serio section awaits everyone next year for a new welcome and certainly interesting meeting (source: FIDC).
