The fundamental role of the hunter
Great participation at the Conference organized by the Macerata 2 Hunting Area in the splendid “Nicola Degli Angeli Municipal Theater” in Montelupone. The Mayor, Rolando Pecora, brought greetings from the municipal administration, emphasizing the fundamental role of the hunter in the protection and safeguard of the territory. The regional councilors, Pierpaolo Borroni and Simone Livi, brought greetings from the President of the Marche region, Francesco Acquaroli, specifying the full collaboration of the Region with the hunting world in compliance with current regulations.
Damage to agricultural crops
The Provincial President of Coldiretti di Macerata, Francesco Fucili, called for ever greater collaboration between the agricultural and hunting worlds, in order to prevent damage to agricultural crops. The President of ATC MC2, Pio Chiaramoni, emphasized the full collaboration with the institutions and associations interested in land management and the protection of wild fauna, aimed at sustainable hunting. In his speech, the wildlife technician of ATC MC2, Andrea Brusaferro, illustrated the methods of census of wild fauna and the techniques of capturing it, to repopulate the territory with programmed hunting management and any control plans for the various species, in order to protect agricultural crops and the delicate nesting period.
Song thrush and woodcock
He also focused on the importance of the data obtained through satellite telemetry research, in particular on the song thrush and the woodcock, which in the Marche region has been developed thanks to the collaboration with the Conero Regional Park, with funding from Federcaccia and in part from ATC MC2. The director of the forestry and wildlife-hunting policies sector of the Marche Region, Giuseppe Serafini, illustrated the 2025-2026 hunting calendar and the methods of culling the derogated species that will be approved shortly and the calendar for the selective culling of wild boar, for the 2025-2026 season, confirming the commitment of the Marche Region to respect, in the drafts, all the current regulations.

In the following debate, the Regional President of ACMA, Graziano Federici, brought to light a new method of scientific research for migratory fauna through ecoradar. At the end, an appreciated buffet for all the numerous people present.
