An eagerly awaited and recognized event
Thirty years have passed since a group of hunters from Cecina and Cecina Mare, with passion and personal sacrifice, decided to create what is now a long-awaited and recognized event: the Wild Boar Festival by the Sea. Initially, resources were extremely limited, and the promoters even funded the activities themselves, driven by the desire to offer services to their members and, at the same time, donate part of the proceeds to charitable causes such as hospitals and volunteer organizations.
Good food and conviviality
Today, the core group is made up of a dozen volunteers from the Cecina Federcaccia-UCT chapter who, supported by the Livorno provincial chapter, with enthusiasm and team spirit, manage to involve over forty people in this initiative, including families. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a wild boar hunting team: togetherness, laughter, jokes, and a shared passion for good food and conviviality.
Solidarity and tradition
The undisputed star remains wild boar meat: healthy, antibiotic-free game, cooked entirely by the team, who each year take to the stove to offer authentic and wholesome dishes. Over time, the festival has won over not only locals, but also many vacationers and visitors who return regularly, often bringing their children and grandchildren. This year, a key participant was the young people, who enthusiastically appreciated the game, calling it "a new flavor worth trying."
