9 nations competing
With the arrival of delegations from 9 different European nations (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Moldova, Portugal, Switzerland and Italy), the spotlight on the non-Olympic specialty of Trap1 was turned on the platforms of the TAV Piancardato di Collazzone (PG), where the race for the 2026 European titles in the specialty will begin tomorrow, Saturday 8 August.
The specialists present
The continental event, organized under the aegis of FITASC, attracted 81 specialists to Umbria, including the Portuguese Susana Pagara de Campos and the French Maurice Boutin, reigning Champions of the Ladies and Masters Qualifications respectively.
The Azzurri
A team of eight shooters, led by Technical Commissioner Giampaolo Micheletti, will represent Italy. Dario Donnini from Cermenate (CO), Stefano Maisano from Luisago (CO), and Antonio Zoccoli from Bologna have been selected for the Men's qualification. Giulia Vernata from Magione (PG) will compete in the Ladies' qualification, while Roger Rolfini from Comacchio (FE) will represent Italy in the Junior qualification. Fabio Cotozzolo from Marsciano (PG), Stefano Manuzzi from Cesena (FC), and Enrico Ponzuoli from Cameri (NO) will compete in the Senior qualification. The competition will consist of a total distance of 200 clays, split into 100 throws per day (source: FITAV).
