Commitments on the platform
The collaboration between the Italian Clay Pigeon Shooting Federation and the Shooting Federation of theOman And, as has been the case for several years now, the competitive season begins with the Friendship Competition hosted at the Muscat facility. The Omani capital welcomed the Italian delegation led by Federal Councilor Fiorenzo De Rosa yesterday morning. Starting tomorrow, they will be busy preparing for the Skeet and Trap competitions. The Italian national team will be represented on the platform by a squad of twelve athletes, six in Skeet and six in Olympic Trap.
Skeet
For the Skeet event, National Technical Director Luigi Agostino Lodde has decided to field Cristian Ciccotti (Carabinieri) from Rome, Marco Sablone (Fiamme Oro) from Rome, Domenico Simeone (Fiamme Oro) from Baia e Latina (CE) and Nicolò Sodi (Aeronautica Militare) from Arezzo for the men and Sara Bongini (Fiamme Oro) from Impruneta (FI) and Arianna Nember (Marina Militare) from Lumezzane (BS) for the women.
Trap
As for Trap, Technical Director Marco Conti has selected Emanuele Buccolieri (Fiamme Oro) from San Pancrazio Salentino (BR), Massimo Fabbrizi (Carabinieri) from Monteprandone (AP), Emanuele Iezzi from Manoppello (PE) and Riccardo Mirabile (Fiamme Azzurre) from Rufina (FI) for the men and Gaia Ragazzini (Carabinieri) from Lavezzola (RA) and Valentina Panza (Carabinieri) from Rose (CS) for the women.
The calendar
After a day of free training, the athletes will be engaged in official training (Pre-Event Training) on January 28th, followed by competition on Thursday, January 29th and Friday, January 30th, with 75 clays on the first day and 50 clays plus finals on the second. The event will conclude with the Mixed Team competition on Saturday, January 31st (source: FITAV).
