More than positive balance
The Italian Para-Trap team had an extremely positive outcome at the 2026 Italian Open Green Cup, hosted by the TAV Umbriaverde-Todi shooting range in Massa Martana (Perugia). The 17 shooters from the National Team, led by Technical Director Benedetto Barberini, finished the international Grand Prix with a total of seven medals: three golds, two silvers, and two bronzes. The high number of participants also made the 2026 edition particularly significant. The event attracted a total of 520 shooters from 48 countries to the Umbrian shooting range, including 57 Para-Trap specialists, a figure that demonstrates the trust placed in Italy to organize high-level international competitions. Such a large participation offered our athletes a valuable opportunity to compete with some of the discipline's biggest names from around the world.
An important first statement
Along with all the prestigious medals won by our para-athletes, Maria Mirabile's gold medal in the Para Lady category, a ranking introduced in this edition of the Italian Open Green Cup, was particularly significant for its uniqueness. For the Italian athlete from Rometta (ME), this was her first international victory of her career, a result that rewards her constant commitment and determination, representing an important signal for the women's Para-Trap sector.
