Recognition of legal instruments
The CNCN – National Hunting and Nature Committee expresses its deep appreciation for the approval of the amendment in the Budget Law which puts an end to the legal and fiscal limbo in which the Wildlife and Hunting Companies (AFV) They had been confined for decades, recognizing their legal capacity to operate as businesses. The measure, the result of joint action by Coldiretti, AB – Agrivenatoria Biodiversitalia, and CNCN, marks a decisive victory for rural land management, habitat protection, and fiscal clarity.
Dignity and perspective
"As the National Hunting and Nature Committee, we can only express our deep satisfaction with a reform the sector has been waiting for years, and which comes as the result of concerted and tenacious work aimed at restoring dignity and prospects to those who truly protect the land and biodiversity," commented Maurizio Zipponi, President of the CNCN. "We would like, above all, to thank AB – Agrivenatoria Biodiversitalia, Coldiretti, and in particular the invaluable contribution of its President, Ettore Prandini, with whom we have shared the efforts made in recent months that have made this result possible."
Virtuous circle
Over a thousand wildlife and hunting reserves operate in Italy, covering approximately one million hectares of land. This amendment finally establishes a virtuous cycle between hunting, agriculture, and tourism, aiming to further enhance the 15% of our agricultural, forestry, and pastoral territory, making it a unique asset of beauty and biodiversity. It is incorrect to say that this amendment reopens reserves after nearly fifty years, as wildlife and hunting reserves, as is well known, are already open to hunting.
