As announced by the associations ACR (Association for Rural Culture) and CONFAVI (Confederation of Italian Hunting Associations), FCR and ACV, the Tar of Veneto confirmed the suspension of hunting for the following species: gadwall, mallard, moorhen and redwing.

The order states that the appeal in question was presented by five animal-environmental groups, specifically LAC (League for the Abolition of Hunting), LAV (Anti-Vivisection League), LNDC (National League for the Defense of the Dog), LIPU (Italian League for the Protection of Birds) and OIPA (International Organization for Animal Protection).
Handling of the appeal
The TAR's suspension of the above-mentioned species refers to the expiration of the hunting calendar, set for January 31, 2026. Furthermore, the appeal will be heard on the merits through a public hearing on February 12, just under a month from now.
