Hunting calendar and more
La Veneto Region is undertaking a series of important initiatives for hunting. "We recently presented the new hunting calendar to the associations, and we will also present it to the Regional Council. Alongside this, we are also pursuing a series of initiatives to raise the scientific level of this sector. There is considerable excitement regarding fishing, including among the associations, and we should meet with them to define a strategy for the coming years." This was stated by Dario Bond, Regional Councilor for Hunting and Fishing, at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the 24th edition of "Caccia Pesca Natura" (Hunting Fishing Nature) held this weekend in Longarone.
Longarone Fairs
Representing Longarone Fiere Dolomiti, Chiara Bortolas of the Board of Directors spoke: "This is a fair that aims to engage with the world of hunting and fishing, but also with nature, and above all, with all the outdoor activities available. It's a fair that has been growing for years and attracts many families, as well as young people and women, who are discovering the world of hunting and fishing, particularly in the province of Belluno. It's a fair that focuses on the activities taking place within the province, but not only that, because we also look outward and explore growth opportunities for the hunting and fishing sectors, which are two of the driving forces in our region."
Commitment to hunters
Senator Luca De Carlo, Chairman of the Senate's 9th Committee, also spoke: "Hunting and Fishing in Nature has always been a point of reference for those who love hunting, but not only that, for those who love the environment, for those who love this extraordinary territory. I always say this because I saw it as mayor: 15 years of commitment by hunters and fishermen to the region have allowed our territories to be enjoyed by tourists as well. I don't know more serious and more concrete environmentalists than hunters and fishermen." At his first ribbon-cutting ceremony at the fair, the new President of the Province, Marco Staunovo Polacco, said: "I believe it's a source of pride for the Province of Belluno to have this great event here. I believe it's the only fair on this theme currently in Veneto and the Alpine region, and certainly the most important. Clearly, the timing for the fair is challenging, but all the local authorities are working hard to ensure that the fair has a bright future and, above all, continuity, and so I believe this is the goal for the coming weeks."
Valorisation of the territory
For the mayor of Longarone, Roberto Padrin, this is a special edition of Hunting, Fishing and Nature: "Because it's now the only fair left in the Triveneto region. It's therefore a source of great pride for us, and the participation is truly extraordinary. Above all, these hunting and fishing enthusiasts gather here to see the latest innovations in the sector, but above all to share a passion. A passion that is geared towards the enhancement and protection of our region. So we can only be grateful to these people. They share with us a love for a wonderful area like the province of Belluno, but above all, for the entire Veneto region and our entire country."
