Hunting passion and social commitment
Hunting Federation Martinengo, a registered section of Federcaccia Bergamo, once again demonstrates how a passion for hunting can coexist with a deep social and environmental commitment. The association, which has approximately 40 members and is led by President Maurizio Bassani, funded and oversaw the restoration of a monument dedicated to Pope John XXIII located near the church. The monument, unattended and in disrepair for years, has been restored to its original appearance when it was erected in 1972.
A result that makes us proud
"We hope all our fellow citizens enjoyed it, and we are very proud of the result," said President Bassani, thanking architects Letizia Signorile and Luca Bertuletti for their assistance. The highlight of the group's social activities is the traditional festival held every year at the end of spring. June saw the first donations for the current year: €5.000 went to the Pediatric Hematology department of the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo, €3.000 went to Casa di Leo, and €1.000 went to ECMO for Life.
Awareness initiatives
In addition to the charity, the proceeds from the festival also support game release activities in the area. This includes a valuable educational project: during the early summer festival, hunters actively involve the town's second-grade children in an awareness-raising initiative. The next edition of the festival is already scheduled for spring 2026 on May 29, 30, and 31 and June 2, 5, 6, and 7.
