Many messages of condolence have come from hunting associations. This is the sentiment of Massimo Buconi, head of Federcaccia: "I am saddened and shocked to learn of the passing of Lamberto Cardia, a friend before he was a valuable resource for the entire hunting world. The entire Italian Hunting Federation (Federcaccia) extends its deepest sympathy to his family for the loss of an irreplaceable loved one, and to his association, Enalcaccia, for the loss of a knowledgeable, attentive guide, always available for the benefit of hunting and hunters.".
