Systematic and regulated approach
The Euganean Hills Regional Park reaffirms its ongoing and effective commitment to preventing and combating the excessive proliferation of wild boars within its territory. This problem, which impacts the ecological balance, local agriculture, and the safety of populated areas, is carefully monitored and managed through a systematic and regulated approach. The Park Authority actively implements a Regulation for the Control of Ungulates (approved by Community Resolution No. 2 of June 10, 2020), which defines the procedures and methodologies for containing the species.
Security first of all
These activities include selective monitoring conducted by authorized and qualified personnel, always in compliance with current regulations and biodiversity conservation guidelines. The primary objective is to reduce damage to agricultural crops, protect native flora and fauna, and ensure the safety of residents and the numerous visitors who choose the Euganean Hills each year for their outdoor activities.
Scientific evidence
