I Winter Territorial Championships They continue to set the pace of activity on courses across Italy, confirming themselves over the past weekend, which marked the transition between February and March, as key hubs of this first part of the 2026 competitive season. A set of well-established local circuits, capable of holding the attention of competitors and enthusiasts alike.
Competitors on the platform
A total of 1.000 shooters took to the shooting ranges over the weekend, competing at 21 shooting ranges in 14 regions across Italy. Sicily once again led the ranking of the most popular regions over the past weekend, with 187 competitors, earning first place on the ideal podium for the second consecutive week. Close behind was Sardinia, which took the silver medal with 145 competitors competing in the competitions hosted on Italy's second-largest island. Umbria took third place and the bronze medal, with 229 competitors.
Competition and community spirit
The competition specialties embraced the different souls of Clay Pigeon Shooting, from the Olympic Trap and Skeet, to the amateur Compak Sporting and Universal Trap, in a weekend that combined competition and community spirit, with shooters of every Category and Qualification engaged in this phase of the season, much felt and appreciated by the athletes involved (source: FITAV).
