From field to table
After last year's success, the Game Meat Week, the European campaign dedicated to promoting game meat and its natural, healthy, and sustainable supply chain. The initiative, promoted by FACE – the European Federation for Hunting and Conservation, will once again see the participation of the Italian Hunting Federation in this second edition. It will take place from November 10th to 15th with the aim of engaging all those who, from field to table, recognize game as a heritage of flavor, health, and culture.
Environmental benefits
Throughout the week, Game Meat Week will be livening up European social media with a major awareness campaign aimed at raising awareness of the environmental, nutritional, and gastronomic benefits of wild meat: a natural food, free of antibiotics and truly sustainable, expressing a virtuous balance between humanity and nature. Besides being healthy, rich in protein and low in cholesterol and fat, suitable for all diets, this meat offers a range of options from classic, traditional recipes to modern interpretations, with unexpected combinations for an explosion of flavor and health on our tables.
The benefits of increased consumption
FACE's vision is fully shared by Federcaccia, which has been committed for years at all levels and in various ways to promoting to society the many benefits of increased game consumption, which is too often still tied to particular and limited occasions, if not completely unknown. To participate in the campaign, FACE and Federcaccia invite hunters, food enthusiasts, and lovers of good food to share dishes, recipes, stories, and experiences related to game meat on their social media channels, using the official hashtag #GameMeatWeek and tagging Federcaccia's official Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok profiles. A simple gesture to raise awareness—and recognition—of game as a symbol of balance, flavor, and sustainability.
