Rich program
March is in full swing, and the federal competition calendar features four events dedicated to competitive shooters and enthusiasts of Italian clay pigeon shooting. The 1st Compak Sporting Club Cup Grand Prix will be held on Saturday, March 14th and Sunday, March 15th, hosted by Tav Conselice (RA), Torretta (RC), and Campoformido (UD). On the same weekend, Tav Vetralla (VT) will award the Winter Combined Shooting and Country Rifle Championship titles, while on Sunday, March 15th, Tav La Torre (PI) and La Tranquilla (VV) will host the Golden One of the Youth Sector. Lending a sense of continuity to the FITAV Grand Prix season will be Compak Sporting with the first round of the Individual and Club Club Cup, scheduled for Conselice, Torretta, and Campoformido. The matches will count towards the 2026 Ranking and the Top Ranking jump-off, reserved for the best shooters in each Category and Qualification. There are no category promotions or demotions for this type of competition, and participation is open to FITAV members of all categories and qualifications.
Rules
The competition will be held over a distance of 100 clays, to be completed on a single day, either Saturday or Sunday, with either a morning or afternoon round. In the event of a tie for any position in the rankings, the rounds completed on the chosen course will be taken into account. This information must be communicated to the Coordinator before the competition begins. In addition to the individual competition, there will also be a team competition. Each club may field two types of teams:
Type A: three shooters, with a maximum of one Excellence athlete and two First Category athletes;
Type B: three shooters, with a maximum of two from the Second Category and one from the Third Category.
The event will contribute to the penalty rankings that will determine the overall Club Cup winner at the end of the season. FITAV medals, prize money, and a spot on the podium at a national competition are up for grabs. The 2026 Italian Winter Individual and Club Combined Shooting and Country Rifle titles will be awarded at the Tav Vetralla (VT) event. When registering, each competitor must indicate the caliber they used, which cannot be changed during the competition. Participation is open to FITAV members of all categories and qualifications.
Combined Shot
In the Combined Shooting competition, the event features 50 running clays, followed by a rifle test: 15 shots at 100 meters on three targets and 5 shots at the running wild boar at 50 meters. The Country Rifle competition will be held with rifles only: 15 shots at the three fixed targets at 100 meters and 5 shots at the moving target at 50 meters. In the event of a tie for the top three positions, in the Combined Shooting competition, a shoot-off will be held on 25 clays plus 5 shots at the running wild boar. In the Country Rifle competition, a tie will be broken by giving priority to the running wild boar scores, followed by the roe deer, fox, and chamois targets. In the team competition, teams may consist of three or four shooters; in the latter case, the three best results will be counted.
Scudetto up for grabs
In the individual rankings, a FITAV Scudetto and medal will be awarded to first place, and FITAV medals will be awarded to second and third place. In the team competition, the winning team will receive Scudettos and medals, while the second and third-place teams will receive medals. On Sunday, March 15th, the FITAV Youth Sector will return to the spotlight with the Uno d'Oro, scheduled for Tav La Torre (PI) and Tav La Tranquilla (VV). The Olympic Trap and Skeet competition, reserved for Under-20s, will feature young shooters from 15 Italian regions. The competition will be held as a tournament: three qualifying rounds (75 clays), after which the top six from each qualification round will advance to the semifinals and finals, both on 25 clays, starting from scratch. In the event of a tie, qualification for the next round and the top three will be decided by a shoot-off with first-zero elimination.
