Budget vote
The Provincial Assembly of the Provincial Assembly took place in Caccamo di Serrapetrona, at the “Da Lorè” Restaurant. Federcaccia of Macerata, well attended as usual by the municipal presidents, who unanimously approved the solid final budget and budget estimate. Present at the meeting was Federcaccia Regional President Paolo Antognoni, who outlined the work being done through Federcaccia's wildlife and agri-environmental studies and research office to obtain reliable scientific data to support the hunting calendar. In this context, he recalled Federcaccia's appeal to the Council of State, which allowed the culling of thrushes and woodcocks until January 31st.
Sustainable withdrawal
Antognoni thanked Giacomo Bugaro, Councilor for Hunting, for his ongoing commitment to scientifically supported regulations for proper wildlife management and sustainable hunting. Provincial President Nazzareno Galassi thanked all the municipal presidents for their ongoing commitment to hunters, the Provincial Council, the heads of the ACMA, UCIM, and UNCC sectors, and the provincial office. Various projects implemented by the Macerata Hunting Federation were presented, including the installation of artificial nesting boxes for mallards in collaboration with the ATC (Italian Hunting Federation); the placement of nesting boxes for insectivorous birds in schools; environmental days for cleaning rural fountains in collaboration with the Una Foundation; censuses of nesting wood pigeons and turtle doves; and the quail trapping project in the Conero Park, using satellite transmitters to obtain reliable data on the species' migration.
Convivial moment
Thanks to the Volunteer Game Guards, who work in full collaboration with the Provincial Police to ensure thorough territorial control. This has enabled them to locate numerous sites with abandoned waste and to repress poaching, in the interests of the environment and the hunting community, which harvests wild animals in full compliance with current regulations. Ilenia Paggi, coordinator of the Federcacciatrici (hunting federation), outlined the group's program, which has also been reported in the local press: sustainable hunting, biodiversity conservation, land cleanup, and environmental protection activities. Thanks also to the Federcaccia managers of the dog training areas, who allow us to train our beloved four-legged friends. Biancamaria Conti, head of the Belforte del Chienti municipal office, was recognized for her invaluable assistance. Following the meeting, a convivial gathering was enjoyed by all participants.
