A high-profile meeting was held in Florence between Marco Salvadori, Regional President of Federcaccia Toscana-UCT and National Vice President of Federcaccia, accompanied by the Association's regional leadership team, and the Honorable Raffaele Nevi, Forza Italia Member of the Chamber of Deputies, Deputy Group Leader in Montecitorio, and national spokesperson for the party. "It was a very important moment of dialogue," said Marco Salvadori, "which confirms Federcaccia's commitment to maintaining a constructive relationship with politicians. Hunting today requires serious and open partners who understand how our activity also protects the environment, contributes to cultural tradition, and supports the rural economy. There are many priorities to address in the coming weeks and months: from the parliamentary debate on the reform of Law 157/92—striving for balance and avoiding opposing extremes—to the key objectives to be achieved at the Tuscan regional level, starting with the approval and implementation of the new Regional Wildlife and Hunting Plan."
The role of hunters
During his remarks, the Honorable Nevi also emphasized: "I am honored to be here today at the regional headquarters of the most important Tuscan and national hunting association. There must be a balance between wildlife, hunting, and productive activities such as agriculture. I firmly condemn ideological positions against hunting, which, in addition to being a passion, also plays an important role in protecting the land and in the control and management of wildlife. In all of this, Federcaccia is playing a key role in seeking appropriate dialogue with politicians, including at the national level. The electoral contest in Tuscany is also being characterized by aspects related to the rural world and hunting, for which our political formation represents a guarantee of hunting sensitivity, always considering the general interest."
