Un tight schedule of meetings all very well attended, the one that sees the executives of the CCT in many Provinces of our Region, to meet the representatives of the districts and organized teams of wild boar hunting, regarding the effects of the resolution 515, recently approved by the Tuscan Regional Council. These meetings are aimed at investigating the terms and possible consequences of a resolution that allows owners and tenants of the funds, even within the area dedicated to wild boar hunting, to intervene directly for the control of the species.
This week, in fact, three meetings were held in Siena, Prato and Arezzo, held in full compliance with the safety and distancing regulations in force, from which all the perplexities on the part of the managers of the boar hunting teams in the area emerged, on a measure whose effectiveness could be very limited in limiting damage to agricultural production in our region.
The data collected by the Tuscan ATCs in recent years in fact tell us of a substantial decrease in damage to agriculture, obtained by engaging and enhancing precisely the role of the teams in the environmental wildlife management of the Region. A point of the situation necessary to inform and update all those who are constantly engaged in the territory, waiting for the practical developments of this provision (Source: Confederation of Tuscan Hunters).
