The executive group of the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters met yesterday together with their representatives in the committees of the Territorial Areas of Hunting to take stock of the serious situation that arose after the rejection of the law on areas by the Constitutional Court and the failure to approve a bridge rule pending the necessary adjustment.
The meeting was an opportunity to express strong concern and to underline the gravity of the whole affair: a sentence that suddenly fell and with an attitude of the Government appealed for a choice - provincial areas - that many regions of Italy practice and that was moreover, it has already been traveled in Tuscany (Livorno and Massa carrara). A truly incomprehensible attitude in the face of the repeated declarations in favor of institutional simplification and the optimization of resources and which legitimizes the suspicion of explanations that are decidedly unrelated to the merits of the affair.
The speakers called for a rapid intervention by the Region to allow the ATCs the necessary operations, in the interest of wildlife management in a situation that sees the prevention and reimbursement of damage to agricultural crops put at risk, among others. In this regard, the need to overcome the cumbersome elements of the Objective Law on ungulates and to ensure ATCs the necessary tools to intervene promptly and effectively.
