The "Document" on the addresses of Regional Wildlife Hunting Plan of Tuscany circulating for weeks, it still remains today without a specific paternity. However, not a few elements lead the elaborate back to the "fruit" of some regional environments which prefigure with the contents by now known, a precise idea of the future hunting fauna in what was once, a Region, among the most virtuous at national level. The definitive word on the NO to those wicked proposals was put, without ifs and buts, by President Rossi in the last meeting held at the Regional Presidency. To date, we are waiting to know the times of the convocation and the composition of the commission, with representatives of the ATC, of the hunting and agricultural world which will have to prepare a memorandum of understanding on the future government path for hunting in Tuscany.
As we have emphasized several times, one of the most urgent and fundamental points to be addressed remains that of the new Regional Hunting Wildlife Plan. In fact, the PFVR represents the main tool through which all management strategies can be re-set and with them the irreplaceable role of public and private wildlife institutes and protected areas. No problem can be faced, including the management of ungulates, if we are not able to start from a current reading of the territory to set future choices. Therefore, the role of private institutions also assumes a great importance; in fact today for the Wildlife Hunting Companies the law delegates in addition to a planned sampling, the task of contributing to the maintenance of wildlife conservation through good management practices, aimed at safeguarding a common good such as wildlife.
Therefore, no demonization towards those who, in compliance with the constraints of the law, contribute, albeit from the private front, to the production and maintenance of quality environment and wildlife. The national legislation itself, but also the regional laws, have long established the positivity of a union between the legitimate actors and managers of the territory in the general interest of the community. The Ente Produttori Selvaggina (EPS) is certainly one of the most committed associations today, starting from its modernization and organizational strengthening, to take up the challenge of quality to extend the functions of these important institutes, to the environmental, cultural, dog lover, tourism sector. and of quality productions. All themes, which must be linked to a discussion of merit and technically in-depth, in the next events that will see the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters strongly committed.
Thus the objective of quality and of the new multifunctionality of the company, will be able to generate opportunities without entering into conflict with the role of the bodies in charge of management of the Territory in Scheduled Hunting (ATC). The drafters of the much discussed document therefore did not consider doing a disservice to the Wildlife Hunting Companies themselves. A disservice to dealers who are well aware of their assigned role, and who certainly do not feel the need to invade the field of others. As far as we are concerned, we will devote our efforts to restore the order of things avoiding to fall into the umpteenth conflict artfully constructed by those who think of coming out of the shallows in which we have long since arrived with functional strokes of a design that is incompatible for us.
