Confederation of Tuscan Hunters with an “open and public letter” clarifies to the hunters registered in the Free Hunt about the invitations for registration arrived at private homes.
Dear hunter friend of the Libera Hunting, we have decided to send this "open and public letter" to you after many hunters have received in recent days by mail to their home address, in some municipalities of Tuscany, a communication signed by the Regional Secretariat of Free Hunting with the invitation to acquire the card. Since we are talking about all hunters, not just the members of the Libera, this must be clarified, also with regard to compliance or not with the rules in force on the right to privacy and the protection of the private sphere. We have not searched for your personal address and we have no communications to give you in private. We speak to you frankly and publicly, without tricks from touts or door-to-door vendors who always offer discounts and special promotions to new customers, as your association does with the “welcome” card.
On the other hand, touts and door-to-door vendors have nothing but the lowest possible price to compete, no matter if the discount means not being able to offer adequate services, assistance, presence in the area: that's enough for them. sell once, then you will see. Hunting and hunters' associations, however, are or should be something else and need much more, starting with being something other than a salesman. We want to offer the best to Members - as we believe we are doing - also in insurance guarantees and other services, but our aim is not to compete with other Associations, on the contrary we work to ensure that all hunters join forces and their associations unite. , with the aim of arriving as soon as possible to have only one, in Tuscany and in Italy.
We hoped, when we were preparing to set up the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters, to be able to count on the adhesion of other Tuscan hunting associations in addition to Federcaccia, Arci Caccia and ANUU. We had hoped for this because hunters, regardless of the organization they are members of, all have the same needs, the same problems, the same aspirations. Libera Caccia della Toscana even refused to meet for a discussion on the proposal, stating that the defense of one's identity and autonomy was far more important than any unitary perspective.
For us the most important thing is to defend hunting and its social dignity, to guarantee the certainty of rules and rights, to improve the rules, to make the hunter more and more protagonist in the management of fauna, environment, territory: this is the only way to ensure the future of hunting, this is what we dedicate all our human and organizational resources to. We believe that these should be the spirit and commitment of all the Associations and we are convinced that every hunter thinks this way: in the first place the interest of hunting, certainly not the alleged "specialty" of this or that association. You evaluate if the interest of hunting today is done by being divided or if it is not the time for decisive steps in the direction of unity.
In conclusion, hunter friend, if you are convinced that one day there will be free hunting in free territory as never before in history; if you are happy not to have an organization present in the area that can assist you and allow you to assert your opinions; if you think that the enemy is the hunter who has a different tile from yours; if you think that the unity of the hunters is an operation of the enemy to weaken the hunt and its prospects; if you think this, good luck, hunter friend enrolled in the Free Hunt!
