FIDC-UCT's comment
At yesterday's meeting, July 29, the Regional Council of Tuscany approved the adoption of the new Regional Wildlife and Hunting Plan (PFVR) , a fundamental document for the future planning and management of wildlife and hunting activities in the region. Federcaccia Toscana–UCT notes with satisfaction and attention this recent institutional step, reserving the right to express a more thorough assessment after a careful analysis of the document, also in light of the numerous observations submitted by the Association during the preliminary stages of the process.
An act of strategic value
"We are delighted to learn of the confirmation of the adoption of this important planning tool," said Marco Salvadori, Regional President of Federcaccia Toscana-UCT and National Vice President of Federcaccia. "We are aware of the work done and the strategic value of this act, but before expressing an overall opinion, we want to carefully analyze its contents, assessing the extent to which our proposals have been implemented and what remains to be improved. Our goal remains to ensure effective, scientifically sound planning that respects biodiversity, enhancing the role of Tuscan hunters."
A long process
The approval process for the Plan cannot be considered complete: a further evaluation phase now begins, during which it will be possible to formulate additional and substantive observations. Only at the conclusion of this process will the Regional Council proceed with the final approval of the document. Federcaccia Toscana–UCT, with its strong structure, confirms its willingness to engage in dialogue and constructive discussion with the institutions and other stakeholders, in accordance with the principles of scientific integrity and active participation in the Tuscan hunting community.
