Good news for i Tuscan hunters, this amendment proposed by the Sienese Regional Councilor Simone Bezzini it has recently been approved, making life much easier for hunters who need to travel on forest tracks to reach stalking or hunting places.

Subject: Proposal for Amendment to PDL n. 407 (Regulatory interventions relating to the second change to the 2019-2021 budget).
Amendment
After article 53 of the Pdl n. 407, in Chapter II bis (Provisions on off-road circulation of motor vehicles) introduced with this amendment, the following is inserted:
"Chapter II bis
Provisions on the off-road circulation of motor vehicles
Art. 53 bis
Off-road movement of motor vehicles. Insertion of article 28 quinquies in regional law 3/1994.
1. After article 28 quarter of the regional law 12 January 1994, n. 3 the following is inserted:
'Art. 28 quinquies.
Off-road circulation of motor vehicles for wildlife-hunting and hunting activities.
1. For the performance of wildlife-hunting and hunting activities, the municipalities can identify fixed routes in their territory, notwithstanding the provisions of article 2 of the regional law no. 27 (Regulations on off-road circulation of motor vehicles), in which off-road circulation of motor vehicles is permitted.
2. The identification is made according to the criteria referred to in article 6, paragraph 2, of Regional Law 48/1994.
3. The municipalities identify the routes with the prior consent of the owners and tenants of the funds and, for protected areas, of the manager.
4. For the cases referred to in paragraph 1, the municipality issues a special transit authorization mark free of charge. '".
Consequently, in the preamble, the following is inserted after point 34 of the "considered":
"34 bis. In light of the positive application of the provisions concerning the off-road circulation of motor vehicles for wildlife-hunting and hunting activities found in the three years of validity of the Regional Law 10/2016, it is appropriate to allow municipalities to ordinarily identify fixed routes in their territory which off-road circulation of motor vehicles is permitted for the performance of these activities; "
REPORT
With this amendment, having observed the positive application of the provisions concerning the off-road circulation of motor vehicles for wildlife-hunting activities found in the three-year period of validity of Regional Law 10/2016 (Objective Law for the management of ungulates in Tuscany), it is proposed, by means of a specific amendment to Regional Law 3/1994, to allow municipalities to ordinarily identify fixed routes in their territory in which off-road circulation of motor vehicles is allowed for performance of wildlife-hunting and hunting activities.
