The approved plans
In yesterday's session, May 27, the Regional Council of Toscana on the proposal of the Vice President Stefania Saccardi, it approved resolutions no. 622 623 relating to the "Sampling Plan and Hunting Calendar of the roe deer species - hunting year 2024/25" and that of the "Shooting Plan for wild boar in unsuitable areas and suitable hunting year 2024/25".
The beginning of the business
The first resolution regulates the times of the selection hunt and the harvest for the respective classes and ages for each Management Unit (UdG), both for the areas Suitable and Not Suitable for the species. Without prejudice to silence on Tuesday and Friday, the hunting harvest will begin with the selection activities for adult males starting from June 1st and will be divided into time periods into the various classes and sexes, as regulated by the resolution.
Other forms of hunting
Also for the wild boar species, the times foreseen by the hunting calendar for hunted hunting have been reconfirmed _1 October - 31 January (in compliance with the maximum time frame of three months) and the related sampling plan for both the suitable areas and not suitable, also extended to private wildlife institutes (AFV and AAVV). This plan also concerns other forms of hunting for the species (single form, round, and selection hunting) (source: FIDC).
