Regional resolution
Yesterday, RESOLUTION 901 of 29/7/24 containing the Fallow Deer Collection Plan. Among the main populations of this ungulate in the area is that of the Apuan Alps Park.

The document "Shooting plans for the fallow deer species, for the 2024-25 season, relating to the 14 management districts of the species in the Tuscany Region" referred to in Annex A), forming an integral and substantial part of this act, containing the annual sampling plans of the species (number of animals divided by sex and age class) for each management unit (UdG).
Age classes
The following hunting calendar relating to the collection periods of the fallow deer according to the sex/age classes is established, without prejudice to hunting silence on Tuesdays and Fridays:
Adult males (crowns)
from 15 August to 20 October 2024 e
from 1 November 2024 to 15 March 2025
Sub-adult males
(crossbows)
from 15 August to 20 October 2024 e
from 1 November 2024 to 15 March 2025
Young males (melters)
from 15 August to 20 October 2024 e
from 1 November 2024 to 15 March 2025
Adult females, thin and small (both sexes)
from 15 August to 20 October 2024 e
from 1 November 2024 to 15 March 2025
3. to establish that in the unsuitable areas, forms of collection management are put in place by the ATCs and UdG holders which tend to concentrate it above all in the areas most affected by damage to agriculture;
4. to establish that, without prejudice to the obligations established by Regional Law 3/94, the collection in hunting agritourism companies located in suitable areas will take place on the basis of what is indicated in the art. 70 of DPGR 36/R/2022;
5. to provide that for the implementation of the selective sampling plans approved with this resolution, sampling is permitted, within the established periods, for five days a week excluding Tuesdays and Fridays, even in the case of ground covered by snow;
6. to establish that to carry out selection hunting the hunter must be in possession of the regional hunting card, paper or digital, referred to in art. 6 of regional law 20/2002;
7. to establish that, in addition to the systems for recording the exits and the animals killed provided by the ATC and the Wildlife Companies, in the period between the third Sunday of September and the 31st of January, the required notes must also be made on the hunting card regional, paper or digital;
8. to also provide that the owners of each UdG must enter the results of the sampling carried out on a monthly basis in the TosCaccia regional portal;
9. to establish that the implementation of the plans takes place in accordance with the provisions of the art. 28 bis, paragraph 6 of the aforementioned regional law 3/94;
10. to delegate the manager of the competent structure to adopt any changes to the sampling plan necessary in order to correct mere material errors relating to the concrete quantification of the animals that can be withdrawn, in compliance with the technical reasons that led to the approval of this plan;
11. to establish that the killing mark of each animal, if preserved together with its trophy, constitutes the requirement for the legitimate conservation of the trophy.
