HUNTERS AND THE REGION
A meeting between the representatives of the regional hunting associations and the representatives of the Region in the presence of the Regional Vice President Stefania Saccardi, regarding the innovations introduced in the next regional hunting calendar. Below are the most important aspects.
WILD BOAR HUNTING
The sampling will be allowed from 1 October to 31 January with the possibility of the Tuscan ATC regulating its conduct in agreement with the teams within the suitable areas. The observations and proposals that we had presented to the Region in this regard were partially accepted by Vice President Saccardi.
TAUPE
Despite our observations and the scientific documentation in support of our proposals, provided for some time to the regional offices, the Region seems oriented towards not including the species among the huntable species. In the next few days, until the calendar is approved, we will continue to reiterate our position.
HUNTING SELECTION
We have once again expressed our strong opposition to both the prolongation of the selection hunt for wild boar at night even with the aid of thermal instruments and attractive foraging. In the next few days we will be careful to reiterate this position against the implementation of a provision which could cause serious critical issues both from the point of view of safety and from that of conflict between the various forms of hunting, trying to obtain at least a territorial diversification regarding the application of this provision, in relation to the health emergency linked to ASF (FEDERCACCIA TOSCANA – UCT).
