As stated in the press release, it is necessary to contain what are considered opportunistic and harmful species, consequently two more days of pre-opening are needed. In fact, in Tuscany the starling is the third most harmful species as regards the agricultural sector, a fact that emerged from a series of studies. No less destructive are the crows and magpies, without forgetting those species that usually eliminate eggs and young from the nests.
Hunters will therefore be able to benefit from agriculture in September, when there will be the traditional pre-opening for turtledoves, blackbirds and wood pigeons. The hope of obtaining the concession is very strong, given that the association intends to make an important contribution to the work of those who live off the products of the earth. The Hunting Office was therefore invited to choose the two additional days, starting from Saturday 3 September 2016.
