Arms sector
It is usually associated with the medal won by the second-place finisher, and therefore – according to a very common point of view – the first of the losers, but silver is a metal with an undisputed allure, especially when it comes to the arms sector. Uberti Spa, a company from Gardone Val Trompia, created and donated a special shotgun to Beretta to celebrate the 500th anniversary of its foundation.
Collector's item
It is indeed a silver Winchester with "Solid Silver" engravings, specifically a collectible Model 1866 that will become an integral part of the Gardone Val Trompia museum. To be even more precise, it is a faithful replica of a lever-action rifle made by Aldo Uberti, starting from a Winchester rifle as a model, better known by the nickname "Yellow Boy."
The drawings in detail
As for the engravings, we opted for a Winged Victory holding the symbol of Beretta's 500th anniversary, along with the motto "Dare in broca." Then there are two lions holding a world map between their paws. The Italian walnut burl, one of the most prized woods available, adds the finishing touch.
