The meeting between the Region and wild boar hunters
“In implementation of the agreement reached in recent days with the Coordination of wild boar hunting teams from Umbria, I submitted the shared changes to regional regulation no. to the Regional Council for examination in today's meeting. 34 of 1999, relating to the hunting of wild boar species. The act was approved, laying the foundations for a significant increase in the killing capacity of the teams." This is what the Councilor for Hunting, Roberto Morroni, announced.
Minimum number of hunters
The approved changes, specifically, concern three points: “the decrease from 20 to 15 in the minimum number of hunters for hunting; the possibility of including, in each hunt, a maximum number of hunters not belonging to the team equal to 50% of the participants in the hunt itself; the possibility of carrying out joint sessions between the teams without any type of limitation or prior authorisation".
The next 30 days
“After today's approval, the provision – recalls the councilor – will be sent to the Third Advisory Commission of the Legislative Assembly for the acquisition of the mandatory opinion which must be expressed within a maximum of 20 days. We are, therefore, proceeding in compliance with the commitment made on the occasion of the agreement reached with the Coordination of the wild boar teams to make the new rules operational within 30 days".
