After a record-breaking edition, which saw thousands of enthusiasts cross the gates of one of the most important trade fairs in central Italy, the2023 edition of Caccia Village – scheduled for 12, 13 and 14 May – was presented yesterday by Andrea Castellani, creator of Caccia Village, in the presence of the Governor of the Umbria Region Donatella Tesei, the Regional Councilor Roberto Morroni, the president of Umbria Fiere Stefano Ansideri, the Mayor of Bastia Umbra Paola Lungarotti, of the Ass. Comunale Filiberto Franchi and the curator of Wild Food Chiara Comparozzi. Governor Tesei expressed particular satisfaction with the virtuous circle that major events such as Caccia Village trigger on local economic related activities and with how Caccia Village has accepted the need to focus on extremely important issues such as safety and hunter training with a training panel and experts of the highest professionalism and quality.

Stefano Ansideri, president of Umbria Fiere, brings the data of a fair that is growing in numbers and exhibition areas and which, by 2023, will occupy an even larger area than the Umbria Fiere exhibition center, to give space to new sector brands , including international ones, who have chosen Caccia Village and Bastia Umbra to make their products known to the Italian public.

"Caccia Village is an event that the Municipality of Bastia has always supported - says the mayor Paola Lungarotti - because it gives and brings a lot to the area, in terms of hotel occupancy, prestige, and economic related activities". Andrea Castellani who confirmed the presence of Minister Lollobrigida at the ribbon cutting - scheduled for Saturday 13 May at 11 - unveiled some of the novelties of the 11th edition, among these "PARK Village", the area dedicated to the hunter's lifestyle with prestigious international and Italian brands, some of which will present world premiere products such as the Cacciatore cigar in Bastia Umbra. “We are very satisfied with the continuous request from exhibitors and the public who want to come to Caccia Village, because it is considered a consolidated and reliable point of reference for the hunting world – says Castellani. Then there is the confirmation of Cibo Selvaggio, the only Italian event dedicated to signature hunting food and its supply chains, increasingly followed and appreciated by the public.
The involvement of young people
"Our goal - says Chiara Comparozzi who is the curator with Castellani - is to clear the customs of hunting food from prejudices and hypocrisy, talking about it not only to hunters, but also and above all to a non-hunting public, involving in this edition also the youngest, with specific activities dedicated to schools. An event within the event will be the National Wood Supply Chain Exhibition, which will be attended by a small number of wildlife hunting companies, agritourism companies, producers and distributors of certified game and game supply chains, directly selected by the curators of Cibo Selvaggio, whose intent will be to raise awareness of the product and bring together supply and demand in the field of haute cuisine, catering and hunting and gastronomic tourism (source: FIDC).
