In recent days the Umbrian hunting federation, met in the Shareholders' Meeting after the statutory obligations, discussed the problems that plague hunters in this particular complicated period, not only due to the events of the COVID-19 pandemic, but also due to slowdowns in hunting policy and management programs. There was a strong concern about the future of hunting, with the problems related to the management of wild populations, in particular the abundance of wild boar and the scarcity of other resident species such as pheasant and gray partridge. The disappointment for the turtle dove affair, which led to the failure to pre-open, and of the passes made it necessary to provide in-depth information by the President Simone Petturiti, because the hunters are willing to make some sacrifices but not to be mortified, therefore the Region is expected to make every effort to recover with dignity and dignity the turtledove species among the species that can be taken as early as 19 September next.
In addition, the Region is urged to address and resolve three other issues for which we are very late. The first concerns the interregional agreements for the reciprocity and interchange of hunters and the mobility of the same between regions bordering Umbria, in particular Lazio, Tuscany and Marche; the second concerns the derogations of transfer and other problematic species that would be good to be authorized immediately so as not to have to handing over documents to hunters several times; the last equally important and urgent is the issue of authorizations for fixed hunting stalks, because without this document the applicants, who in many cases have paid rent, cannot access them for the preparation and tidying up of the hunting lodges themselves.
It is inconceivable if not unfortunate that now close to the opening of the hunt there are no answers to the above. Since these are annual and repetitive operations it would be advisable for them to be scheduled in time and not patched up due to the broken headphone (Source: Hunting Federation).
Of course there is still someone who lives on dreams; unfortunately, however, in reality dreams vanish at dawn !!!
