As reported by ACR (Rural Culture Association), the Anti-wolf law was approved by the Valle d'Aosta Region, which will allow the application of management and containment plans for wolf populations "To defend people and animals". A law in favor of farms, breeders, mountain pastures and even citizens. It will therefore be possible, with the authorization ofHigher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (Ispra) and the Ministry of the Environment, carry out the collection, capture and eventual killing of Canis Lupus specimens considered dangerous. A relief for the bearers of the Valle d'Aosta Rural Culture who are now exhausted by the recurring predations of these large carnivores.
The anti-wolf law is the result of the coordination of a proposal filed by minority groups (Lega and Pour L'Autonomie) and a bill of the Regional Council. Among the speakers there is also the famous former president of the Valle d'Aosta Region, Augusto Rollandin, former Union Valdotaine and now in the minority with Pour L'Autonomie, who explained: "This text is not to be interpreted as a wolf hunt, but as a just defense of people and animals besieged by the wolf, even in pastures near the hamlets and in the mountain pastures ". According to the other rapporteur, Albert Chatrian (SA-AV), with this law “the conservation of the species, compatibly with the farming and agricultural activities that in some circumstances have been threatened and damaged by the attacks ".
