Sergio Berlato, Chairman of the Third Permanent Commission of the Veneto Regional Council, has decided to submit a complaint to the Public Prosecutor of Venice to ask to proceed against some hunting managers who in recent days have released "Careless and false statements reported by the local press". Berlato refers to the leaders of the Italian Hunting Federation, in particular Luciano Santa, provincial president of the Venetian section.
Specifically, the statements that referred to possible unrest starting from 1 October on the occasion of the entry into force of the new law on hunting "nomadism". Another title that convinced Berlato to present the complaint is the following: "Federcaccia has raised the alarm with Luciano Babbo: according to our lawyers, hunters can be sanctioned up to 1800 euros by every public official, both the provincial police or the hunting guards because law 157, the previous one, remains in force for us".
These executives did not recognize the new calendar, above all the forecast of three hunting days out of a total of five as far as game is concerned. Berlato hypothesized a crime punished by the Criminal Code, that is alarmed at the authority, but also the incitement to disobey public order laws. Between the president and Santa there have been other disagreements in the past and always for the statements made to the press.
