Hunting: Veneto, the regional council has approved the new hunting calendar valid for the season of hunting 2015-2016; Pan, “due act, respecting tradition”.
The Veneto Regional Council has approved the new Hunting Calendar, the document that governs the hunting activity in the 2015-2016 Hunting Season; the general opening of the hunt is set for 20 September 2015, closing on 31 January 2016. The calendar also includes 5 pre-opening days on 2, 5, 6, 12 and 13, days in which blackbirds will be hunted , turtledove, jay, magpie, hooded crow and hooded crow. On 2 and 5 September, wood pigeon hunting is also allowed. The calendar generally indicates the species allowed for collection and the relative hunting periods; the number of weekly hunting days, which cannot exceed 3 with the possibility of free choice of the hunter, with the exception of Tuesdays and Fridays, with an integration of 2 days only for hunting migratory stalking fauna in the months of October and November; the maximum daily and seasonal game bag, the start and end time of the hunting day.
"The go-ahead for the Calendar, after hearing the Provinces and Ispra - declares the commissioner Giuseppe Pan - was one of the first acts of this council, taken precisely to guarantee continuity to a very lively tradition in our lands and to give certainties to the people lovers of the art of hunting, always respecting environmental constraints and the general principles of protection of the fauna. The calendar and the requirements for the next season faithfully follow what has already been adopted for the 2014-2015 season, in full compliance with national and EU legislation ".
The council, again on the proposal of the councilor for hunting and in agreement with the colleague in health, has also authorized for the next hunting season 2015/2016, and until 31 December 2015 the possibility of using live calls belonging to the orders of the anseriformes and of the charadriforms, within the limits and according to the operational provisions already identified for the previous two hunting seasons.
