Hunt: Veneto, Ministers - Regions meeting, protests by Stival, “we are against acts of empire. Too many regulatory doubts prevent correct work on hunting calendars and hunters' rights ”.
Interlocutory meeting today in Rome, at the Ministry of Agriculture, between the Regions subject to the suspension of the hunting calendar through the exercise by the Government of substitute powers, including Veneto, with the Minister of Agriculture and that of environment. The Councilor for the Hunting of the Veneto Region, Daniele Stival. "I have become the spokesperson - said Stival - of all our hunters in protesting against the government's act of empire, which has not advanced technical justifications, but only the priority need to block any possible European infringement procedure". Stival also listed the high issues that need more government attention: the wild boar problem in parks, the danger of wolves in Lessinia, certain data for the 19 huntable species that could be subject to infringement proceedings, the key concept that they are having more force than the law, the law 157/92 on hunting that no longer gives certainties ”.
"All these doubts - Stival stressed - do not allow either the possibility of launching legally peaceful hunting calendars, nor the serenity of hunters to be able to have certainty of their rights, nor a real comparison with other neighboring European countries". For all these problems, the Ministers proposed a technical-political table to be set up as soon as possible to share and homogenize the acts of the council of the various Regions.
