Hunting in Veneto. At the end of the session of hearings aimed at acquiring the opinions of Bodies, representatives of the category and other stakeholders, the Third Permanent Council Commission chaired by Sergio Berlato today gave the green light to the Regional Laws n.182 and state n. 18, on the issue of disturbance in the exercise ofhunting activity and piscatoria, and to the draft laws n.141 and n.174 on agriculture.
“Hunting and fishing are legitimate activities - commented on the sidelines of the proceedings Councilor Berlato, presenter of the Regional Law no. 182 and state n. 18 - because they are regulated by community directives and by specific national and regional laws. We believe it is appropriate that those who carry out any lawful activity can do it without being disturbed or prevented in its exercise by 'thugs' who, just because they do not share these activities, often take initiatives that are not limited to disturbance, but to aggression, not just verbal ".
"We therefore believe it appropriate - continues Berlato - to approve specific rules that provide for sanctions both from an administrative point of view, as regards the Veneto Region, and from a criminal point of view, as regards the code at national level, and which intervene for ensure that those who carry out these lawful activities can do so in compliance with the law. Furthermore, as a guarantee of agricultural activity, among those who may be subject to sanctions, if they disturb or worse prevent the hunting and fishing, those who carry out agricultural activities on their properties are exempted: a proposal that is in tune with the demands of the agricultural world and which has been implemented and included in the text approved by the Commission and which will soon be approved by the Regional Council of Veneto ".
On Pdl n. 174 and n. 141 on agriculture, the Vice-President of the Third Commission Graziano Azzalin (PD) intervenes, “The two measures were approved unanimously and this is a very positive fact. The enlargement of the “Green Table” moves from the point of view of simplification, integration and a broader vision: it is a fair recognition of those who have formed themselves in the Cooperative Center. On the other hand, the unanimity expressed by the Third Commission moves in the perspective also hoped for by the agricultural world which, with respect to the issues concerning the primary sector, raises the problem of a strong unity and above all a strong incisiveness of the policies that as Region we must implement so that it is always a point of reference for our economy, as it is in fact. From this point of view, the regulatory adaptation incorporates what is a situation on which it is necessary to work much more profitably than today ".
