Who is the announcement addressed to?
The Veneto Region has announced the opening of the terms for participation in the Regional Call which provides for the provision of "de minimis" contributions. The call is aimed at agricultural operators who intend to implement preventive measures against damage caused by wildlife to agricultural production, as established by DGR 247 of 13 March 2024.
Allocation and Purpose of the Notice
For the year 2024, a fund of 100.000,00 euros has been allocated to finance interventions that aim to reduce the negative impact of wildlife on agricultural activities, thus guaranteeing greater protection for crops and livestock.
Eligible measures include:
a) Installation of perimeter fences, individual wire mesh fences, plastic shelters, anti-bird nets;
b) Use of low intensity electrical protections;
c) Use of hearing protection systems with emissions of sound waves, sounds or ultrasounds, radio devices;
d) Adoption of visual protection such as silhouettes of predators, including three-dimensional and inflatable ones, holographic tapes, predator balloons and similar.
It is interesting to note that not only the tenants, but also the owners of agricultural land can submit the application to access the contributions. The maximum allowable expenditure for each company is €5.000,00, with a minimum expenditure of €200,00. The contributions will cover 100% of the eligible expenditure.
Deadlines
Interested agricultural companies must send their applications by 22 July 2024. It is advisable not to wait until the last moment to submit applications, in order to ensure that all necessary documentation is complete and complies with the requirements of the announcement.
