Regional choices
Yesterday in Veneto a hunting ban was decreed until the last day of September hunting season 2024/2025, in places of notable tourist interest to protect the integrity and tranquility of the area and until 15 October 2024 inclusive limited to the waters of Lake Garda under Venetian jurisdiction and to the strip of territory which, for a depth of 500 metres, flanks towards land the "Gardesana orientali" road, from the border with the Province of Brescia to the border with the autonomous Province of Trento.
The areas included
In detail, the areas are as follows:
a) for a depth of m. 1.000 from the edge of the wave towards the land and the same distance towards the sea:
– across the entire territory of the Lido and Pellestrina islands up to the Ca' Roman lighthouse;
– from the mouth of the Tagliamento to the Baseleghe port;
– from Falconera port to Punta Sabbioni;
– from the port of Chioggia to the mouth of the Adige river;
– from the mouth of the Adige river to the Caleri canal which separates the Botanical Garden of Porto Caleri from the Island of Albarella;
b) for a depth of m. 200 from the wave head towards the land and the same distance towards the sea, understanding the wave head as a geographical line:
– Scanno Cavallari and the mouth of the Po di Maistra (from the mouth of the Po di Levante to the mouth of the Po di Maistra – Municipality of Porto Viro);
– Scanno di Boccasette, Scanno del Gallo nord, Scanno del Gallo sud, Scanno della Batteria, Scanno del Canon, Scanno Boa (from the mouth of the Po di Maistra to the mouth of the Busa di Scirocco – Municipality of Porto Tolle);
– Scanno del Canarin, Scanno di Bonelli, Scanno Barricata, Spiaggia delle conchiglie, Scannone della Sacca, Scanni della Bottonera (from the mouth of the Busa di Scirocco to the mouth of the Po di Gnocca – Municipality of Porto Tolle);
– Scanno del Bacucco and Isola dei Gabbiani (from the mouth of the Po di Gnocca to the mouth of the Po di Goro – Municipalities of Porto Tolle and Ariano nel Polesine).
Other details
Finally, it was established that up to and including 15 October 2024, during the 2024/2025 hunting season, any form of hunting is prohibited in the waters of Lake Garda under Venetian jurisdiction and in the related strip of territory which, for a depth of 500 meters, runs alongside the "Gardesana orientali" road towards the land, from the border with the Province of Brescia to the border with the autonomous Province of Trento.
