Seventh Congress
Sunday 26 April, in the CSV hall of Vibo ValentiaArci Caccia e Pesca VV OdV celebrated its 7th Congress. The assembly unanimously approved the 2025 financial statements, 2026 budget, 2025 social plan, and related annexes.
The items on the agenda
President Domenico Pitimada's introductory speech, in addition to the economic and financial agenda items, covered the significant growth in registered hunters (+32,24% in the province), thanking the club presidents; hunting-related issues, such as voluntary hunting and wildlife surveillance; unproductive repopulation programs, resulting in a waste of resources, not only from public sources but also from hunters and volunteers who participate at their own expense. He highlighted, with positive remarks, the technique of pre-acclimatization enclosures; wildlife and hunting management, the wild boar problem, and the emerging resurgence of wolves; and more specifically, environmental issues, such as the protection and enhancement of the territory and natural habitats.
Other appointments
The many initiatives to protect beaches and marine pine forests, with coastal municipalities and the UNA (Uomo Natura Ambiente) Foundation, "Save Life to the Tree," and the participation of the Carabinieri Forestali (Forestry Police), among many others, propose and exemplify the Association's guiding principle: "A GREEN CAMPAIGN, FRIENDLY TO MAN, WILDLIFE, AND FLORA, WHICH THE HUNTER LOVES AND VALUES," unanimously approved by the Congress. The work then continued with the appointment of the Congress Committees, the election of the Steering Committee, and the election of delegates to the Regional and National Congresses to be held in Chianciano on September 12-13. The new Board of Directors is composed of the following members: Pasquale Crupi, Renato De Lorenzo, Bruno De Luca, Giuseppe Lo Iacono, Rosario Lopreiato, Leopoldo Marcello, Giuseppe Pagano, Domenico Pitimada, Salvatore Rullo, Lodovico Scarcia, and Pietro Stanganello.
