A “explosive” start to the year
If Italy cries, France doesn't laugh. The temptation to revisit the famous proverb in this way is strong in the hunting world after reading what happened to French hunters at the beginning of 2026. The problem, as is also the case in our country, is represented by animal rights activists who believe they have the right to offend an entire category with very harsh words.
The incriminating post
The French section of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has recently released this post on social media: “Hunting is, above all, the absence of empathy and good manners. Shooting for pleasure and despising other nature users: they are sociopaths in complete freedom. The French hunting community reacted immediately, calling it "offenses" and "gratuitous provocations." But what happened to spark the animal rights movement?
Generalize, always generalize
It all started with the publication of a photo showing wild boar heads and entrails a few meters from a stream in Seyches, a small town not far from Bordeaux. The outrage was inevitable and justified, but unfortunately, an entire category was singled out without distinction, the typical generalization often so dear to animal rights activists.
