Important update
Marco Efisio Pisanu, president of the Hunting, Fishing and Traditions Association of Sardinia, provided an important – though disappointing – update regarding the wild boar sightings on the island of San Pietro and the request for documentation from ISPRA. These are Pisanu's words: "We received their response, and once again, the documentation specifically requested was not sent. Instead, different material was sent, which, in fact, does not address our request.".
A document that doesn't exist?
What does all this mean? Pisanu added: “This leads us to believe that this type of documentation simply doesn't exist. Nevertheless, we will prepare a further response. Some may think it's a waste of time, but it's important for us to continue seeking clarity and to provide a record of every step.".
Future developments
The note from the president of CPT Sardinia ends in this way: “Transparency is essential, especially when making decisions that impact wildlife management and hunting activities. We will continue to update you on developments. In the meantime, we'd also like to hear your thoughts: what are your thoughts on this situation?".
