Woodcock: A single test without killing to decree the Italian woodcock hunting champions is scheduled for Sunday 21 March 2010 at Città di Castello.
The woodcock hunting championship is scheduled for Sunday 21 March 2010. The championship, to be held in Città di Castello, is organized by Arcicaccia and Csaa from the Umbria region. The championship will be attended by breeds of pointing and hunting dogs and there is no killing of birds but only their search. All hunters can participate in the championship and dogs do not need to be registered in order to participate. It is also possible to participate both as individuals and as teams. Individual participants will take part in heats that will be composed of 6 to 10 participants while the teams will strictly consist of 3 participants each.
The championship is divided into categories: the Italian continental free category, the foreign continental free category, the English free category and the hunting breeds category. At the end of the championship for each category, the first three classified will be decided and, therefore, the absolute Italian champions who will be awarded during a special celebration that will take place at the Parco dei Cigni, also in Città di Castello.
