Sergio Berlato, regional councilor and president of the Third Council Commission of Veneto, presented yesterday, Tuesday 2 May 2017, a motion to apply hunting in derogation in the hunting season 2017-2018. As foreseen byarticle 9 of the Community Directive 147 of 2009 (the text that replaced the Birds Directive), each member state can take advantage of the derogation regime.
Berlato himself explained how this type of hunting is an opportunity provided by law, both community and community, consequently Veneto hunters must have the opportunity to exploit it. The Regional Council submitted by 30 April the application for the application of the derogation toHigher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) and the government. This is precisely a possibility to be realized in the 2017-2018 season and in compliance with article 19 bis of the National Hunting Law.
The Government has the task of convening the permanent conference for relations between State, regions and autonomous provinces, dividing the animals that can be withdrawn according to the species. With the motion of the director, the executive is solicited in this sense: the distribution must be carried out by law within June 10th.
