They started from the square in front of the Margherita d'Este shopping center, in San Polo, and walked up to the headquarters of the Forestry Carabinieri. There were about a thousand hunters belonging to various Lombard hunting associations who this morning gave life to a participatory demonstration to ask for respect in the inspection activities. "The controls -, argue the representatives of the shotguns, - focus on the irremovable rings of live recalls, despite Federcaccia having demonstrated, with a sample analysis of 1.500 rings that 74% is different from the tolerances declared by the same manufacturer. That's why in addition to respect, hunters are convinced that it is needed as soon as possible an amnesty by the Lombardy Region».
The rings in question are special rings that are applied to one of the paws of the birds used as calls when they have a few days of life so that the animals, growing up, can no longer get rid of them, due to the increased size of the paw on which the ring is installed. This identifies them precisely as live calls. Matter governed, in addition to national legislation, also by regional provisions for capture and procurement, this year they ended up at the center of a quarrel that reached the Lombard Tar. What hunters complain, in particular, is a particular insistence on the controls put in place by the military of the Soard (Anti-poaching and Animal Crimes Offenses Operational Section) which, together with the volunteers, carry out checks on the field during hunting trips.
Investigations conducted according to criteria and methods that the shotguns contest. The parade, who traveled the streets of S. Polo passing near the Carabinieri Forestali of Via Donatello, also counted on the support of some political exponents at the regional level (this is the case of Floriano Massardi, Lombard vice-leader of the Lega al Pirellone) and also of an MEP, Pietro Fiocchi (elected as independent on the list of the Brothers of Italy, to whom family, however, is headed by the homonymous and historic cartridge factory). There were no riots of any kind and the police forces activated for the event did not need to intervene in any way (Giornale di Brescia).
