The regional offices ofAbruzzo ofArci Caccia, Free Hunt e Game Producers Authority have signed a very important agreement regarding the management of ungulates. In particular, the hunting associations have explained that they no longer want postponements for the opening of the collection of cervids. The management of wild boars was also described as inadequate. The protocol includes important innovations for what concerns the sector administrations, Territorial Areas of Hunting primarily.
Furthermore, these associations have called for the rapid establishment of the regional wildlife observatory to be assigned the task of collecting data on the wildlife conservation. Going back to talking about wild boars, the Abruzzo associations have found too much bureaucracy, while as regards deer there is a poaching without controls, to the complete disadvantage of these game species.
The protocol also contains references to the hunting calendars and their drafting, which does not respect the needs of hunters. There is also the hope of review the size and organization of regional ATCs, in full compliance with the provisions of the National Hunting Law (these are paragraphs 11 and 14 of article 14). Finally, the protocol talks about the relationships to be established with the agricultural world in order to reconstitute traditional rural landscapes.
