Satellite transmitters
Last June 9, a study was published in the journal “JOURNAL OF AVIAN BIOLOGY” which relates the timing of migration of teals equipped by ACMA with satellite transmitters and soil temperature. From this study it clearly emerges how these birds move towards the northernmost migration sites following the temperature of the ground which gradually warms up.
A unique result
For the ACMA Anasat project dedicated to teals, this is the third scientific publication in three different ornithological journals among the most recognized and important in the world. A unique result obtained thanks to the collaboration with the University of Pisa and in particular with the team of professor Dimitri Giunchi.
